💡 We support all Android apps and wearables that share sleep, step count, and calories burned via Health Connect — not just Samsung Health, Oura, or Google Fit. Those are just a few examples!

📲 Connect Google Fit to Health Connect

To sync your Google Fit data with Headlamp via Health Connect:

Open Google Fit and go to your Profile screen.
Tap on the Settings icon.
Scroll to Health Connect settings.
Toggle on ‘Sync Fit with Health Connect’.

Once this is on, Headlamp will begin syncing with your Google Fit data through Health Connect.

📲 Connect Samsung Health to Health Connect

If you’re using Samsung Health, follow these steps to enable syncing::

Open the Samsung Health app.
Go to Settings.
Toggle on ‘Sync with Samsung Cloud’ — this ensures your data stays updated.
Under ‘Connected apps and services’, tap Health Connect.
Press ‘Allow All’ to grant permissions.
Tap ‘Allow’ again to confirm.

Once completed, Samsung Health will be connected to Health Connect, and Headlamp will be able to access your activity and wellness data.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

  1. “I connected my app to Health Connect, but Headlamp isn’t showing any data. What should I do?”

Make sure Health Connect has permission to read data from your health app (like Google Fit or Samsung Health) and that Headlamp has permission to read from Health Connect. You can double-check permissions in the Health Connect app under “App permissions.”

  1. “I don’t see ‘Health Connect’ in my app settings. Where can I find it?”

Health Connect is a separate system app by Google. If you don’t see it, try installing it from the Play Store. Once installed, apps that support it (like Headlamp) will recognise it automatically.

  1. “Can I choose what data to share with Headlamp?”

Yes! When you set up Health Connect permissions, you can choose which types of data (like steps, sleep, or calories) Headlamp can access. You can update this anytime in the Health Connect app.

  1. “I use more than one health app — will Headlamp get duplicate data?”

Nope! Health Connect smartly manages data from multiple sources and removes duplicates when syncing with apps like Headlamp. You’ll get the most accurate version of your health stats.

  1. “Why is my step count or sleep data missing or incomplete?”

There could be a delay in syncing, or the app you’re using (like Google Fit or Samsung Health) may not have recorded data yet. Make sure:

    • The app is synced with your wearable

    • Health Connect is up to date

    • You’ve given Headlamp access to all the relevant data types
